How much does an EV charger installation cost?

A standard home 7kW charge point installation typically costs between £800–£1,200 fully installed, depending on the location of your consumer unit and the cable run required. We provide a free, fixed quote before any work begins.

How long does installation take?

Most home EV charger installations are completed in half a day to a full day. We survey the installation point, run the dedicated circuit from your consumer unit, mount the charge point, and commission the unit — all in one visit.

Do I need to upgrade my consumer unit first?

Not always. We assess your existing consumer unit as part of the free survey. If it has sufficient capacity and is in good condition, we can add the EV circuit directly. If an upgrade is needed, we'll advise you before quoting.

Can I charge my EV using solar panels?

Yes. If you have solar PV, we can configure a compatible smart charger to prioritise solar generation for charging — so your car runs on power you've generated yourself. We handle the integration between your solar system and your charge point.

What charger brands do you install?

We install a range of market-leading smart charge points including Ohme, Myenergi Zappi, Easee, and Pod Point, among others. During your survey, we'll recommend the best unit for your setup, solar integration needs, and smart tariff provider.
